How can I stop the ActiveX prompt in Internet Explorer?
Answer
On library pages, if you are using Internet Explorer and are getting the ActiveX prompt, you can stop this as follows:
- In the top toolbar of Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen until you see:
- Checkmark the Allow active content to run in files on My Computer.
- Click Apply, then OK.
- Close, then re-open Internet Explorer.
- This allows the the tabs and content boxes to open/close as intended.
